The University also deals with young people. Youth is self-will and determination. University must preserve this young spirit. Freedom and openness are its two main values. University should be a projection of the student, not the teacher. Then and only then it will always be alive and won't lose its modernity and timeliness.

The World is changing rapidly, and a new generation of students should be able to form their own beliefs that correspond to the time in which they live.
More than knowledge
We understand that university provides not only knowledge, but also determines the subsequent life routes of its students. Each person makes choices, not only professional, but also ethical and aesthetic. Therefore, university provides students with the most general idea of the world and people.
HISTORY
Moscow International University is the first independent university in the contemporary history of Russia whose creation in 1991 was the challenge of the times.

The decision to establish the university was made in August 1991. President of the USSR Mikhail Gorbachev and President of the USA George Bush agreed on a joint educational project – The Soviet-American University.

Obtained state accreditation for bachelor and master degree programmes.

The University obtained status of the Expert Organization at the UN.

The MIU Lyceum was established. During its existence more than 700 graduates became students of leading universities in Moscow.

Our BBA and MBA programmes were the first in Russia to obtain international accreditation from the European Council for Business Education.

A new programme for top managers and business owners "Doctor of Business Administration" (DBA) was launched.

An online platform and distance learning environment were implemented. The consortium of MMU schools includes the Moscow School of New Cinema.

The Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences was established in Moscow International University. Educational programmes were updated. Double-degree programmes (double graduates are awarded two diplomas – MMU and MSNK) were created. MMU together with social network Vkontakte launched the "Generation Z Study".

The first admission to the new Master degree programme of the Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Rosobrnadzor's routine inspection was completed.

Based on the results of the expert examination, a group of Rosobrnadzor's experts extended the state accreditation of Moscow International University and issued a certificate of state accreditation until 2027.
    CAMPUS AND INFRASTRUCTURE
    MMU has a modern infrastructure for implementing educational projects. A common space comprises 17 000 sq.m. of auditorium fund, a library with 60 000 books, a theatre and concert hall, a small amphitheatre for lectures, a state-of-the-art TV studio, sports grounds and an information and cultural centres.
